- Anything that happens in Campus, etc.
- Secondary School and Tertiary Group: There are no restrictions on the topic of the work, as long as the work can convey the intended message.
Categories
This year's competition is divided into five categories:
- Digital Painting & Illustration
- Animation & Short Video
- Video and Microfilm
- Character Animation Design
- "CA2" Event Logo Re-creation
Students can freely choose the category according to their personal preferences or expertise, but the same student can participate in no more than 2 categories.
- Digital Painting & Illustration
- Project can be participated in by more than 1 participant, but no more than 3 people can represent a single work.
- Animation & Short Video
- Project can be participated in by more than 1 participant, but no more than 10 people can represent a single work.
- Video & MicroFilm
- Project can be participated in by more than 1 participant, but no more than 10 people can represent a single work.
- Character Animation Design
- For individual only.
- "CA2" Event Logo Re-creation
- For individual only.
- Works can be expressed in any form, such as images, dramas, animations, videos, and recordings, etc.
Eligibility
- Qualified school regions: Hong Kong and Macau.
- For Primary School Group participants, the contact person must be either a parent or a teacher.
- Entries must be original and have not won in any other public competitions. Entries that have participated in "Creative Achievement Award 2022" or earlier will not be accepted.
- The same participant can participate in both Graphic Design and Moving Image categories, but only one work can be submitted for each category.
- Winners with qualified "ACP Certification" will receive additional "ACP Special Awards".
- Entries must not contain obscene, pornographic, violent, religious, political, or indecent content. The organizers reserve the right to disqualify participants and revoke their eligibility without prior notice.
- Participants must be the main creative member, main creative artist, or director of the work.
Project Requirements
To encourage original design and respect creative spirit, all graphic designs need to submit the design source file or design screenshot.
All works created solely by Artificial Intelligence (AI) using automated methods will not be accepted.
Digital Painting & Illustration
- File format: JPG / PNG / AI / PDF (single page)
- Design source files or design screenshots such as .psd /.ai format must be submitted.
- If using other design software or mobile applications, you need to provide the name of the software or app, and design screenshots for verification.
- Artwork size is not limited
- File size should not exceed 35MB
- If the content of the artwork includes more than one design, the judges will only review the first or most prominent design content.
- A brief description and statement of the work must be included, which should not exceed 100 Chinese characters or 250 English characters.
Animation & Short Video
- The length of the video or animation should not exceed 15 seconds (including end credits).
- File format: MP4 / MOV
- Minimum resolution: 1920 x 1080
- File size should not exceed 50GB
- One artwork cover image with a minimum pixel size of 1280 x 720 must be provided.
- A brief description and statement of the work must be included, which should not exceed 100 Chinese characters or 250 English characters.
- Equipment usage is not limited.
- Subject matter and format are not limited (including narrative films, documentaries, experimental films, computer graphics, 3D rendering, and video special effects), except for advertisements.
- Content of the work: Special effects are welcome to enrich the content in addition to real-life shooting footage.
- Simple Chinese or English phrases can be added depending on the creation.
- The work must include sound effects.
Video and Microfilm
- The length of the video or animation should not exceed 15 minutes (including end credits).
- File format: MP4 / MOV
- Minimum resolution: 1920 x 1080
- File size should not exceed 5GB
- One artwork cover image with a minimum pixel size of 1280 x 720 must be provided.
- A brief description and statement of the work must be included, which should not exceed 100 Chinese characters or 250 English characters.
- Equipment usage is not limited.
- Subject matter and format are not limited (including narrative films, documentaries, experimental films, computer graphics, 3D rendering, and video special effects), except for advertisements.

Character Animation Design

- The length of the video or animation should not exceed 10 minutes (including end credits).

- Design source files or design screenshots must be submitted.
- If using other design software or mobile applications, you need to provide the name of the software or app, and design screenshots for verification.
- Original character designs or built-in character materials from the application can be used.
- Simple Chinese or English phrases can be added depending on the creation.
- The work must include sound effects.
"CA2" Event Logo Re-creation
- 2D or 3D creations are not limited.
- The conference's provided "CA2" logo design file must be used as a blueprint; please download the attachment file.
- File format (image): JPG / PNG / PDF (single page)
- For "image" file submissions, the design source file or design screenshot such as .psd/.ai format needs to be provided.
- If using other design software or mobile applications, you need to provide the name of the software or app, and design screenshots for verification.
- File format (video): MP4 / MOV, file size should not exceed 10MB / minimum resolution: 1920 x 1080
- The recommended aspect ratio for works is 16:9
Submission
- All competition entries will only accept digital format, and must be registered and submitted through the system designated by the organizing committee.
- CDs, USB flash drives, printed copies, and other submitted materials will not be accepted.
- Participants must join the competition system and follow the instructions to fill in the information and upload files.
- It is recommended to name the work file in English.
- If the competition entry is a collaborative effort, all joint participants must upload their personal information.
- Statements and introductions of the works can be submitted in PDF or MS Word format files.
- If there are additional links, please include them in the document. If the project is submitted as a shared link, please make sure that it has open download permission. The organizing committee will download and save the submitted work.
- If the project cannot be downloaded due to link failure or any other reason, the competition entry will not be accepted.
- The organizer will not return the competition entry. Participants must back up their work before submitting it.
- If there are any errors or omissions in the registration and submission of works, participants must take full responsibility.
- Once the project submitted, it is considered the final version of the work and cannot be modified or replaced.

Public voting
- Registration is open from April 1 to July 30, 2023, and competition entries can compete for the "Online Popularity Award".
- The public voting platform will be opened on the website in mid-September 2023.
- After the competition entry is submitted, we will check whether the content of the work complies with the competition rules. After approval, the work will be uploaded to the competition website for public voting.

- Participants found to have suspicious voting behaviour will be disqualified.
- Participants who violate any competition rules will be disqualified. In this case, we will select another winner as a replacement, and the organizing committee reserves the final decision-making power.

Copyright & Terms
- GrandTech Systems Ltd. is the organizer of the "Creative Achievement Award”.
- The works of each group are selected by the jury of the conference, and the results and rankings are determined by the jury.
- If the submitted works violate the details and rules of the competition, the organizer and the jury have the right to cancel their qualification. The decisions of the organizer and the jury are final and cannot be overturned.
- By submitting their works, participants signify that they have read and agreed to all the rules and terms of the competition. In case of any discrepancy between the Chinese and English versions of the competition details and rules, the Chinese version shall prevail. The organizer has the sole and final decision-making power to deal with all matters not mentioned in the competition details and rules, registration form, and submission form. The organizer reserves the right to revise these rules and forms from time to time.
- The submitted works must be original and created by the participant. Once the work is submitted, the participant guarantees that the work does not contain any third-party copyrighted content and does not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.
- Before the announcement of the competition results, participants cannot submit their entries to other competitions. If a winning work is found to violate the rules after the award is announced, the award qualification will be cancelled, and all awards received must be returned.
- Participants should only use third-party music, images, videos or video clips in their entries with the prior written consent of the third party. If any authorized music, images, videos or video clips are used, they must be identified in the entry in accordance with copyright law. The organizer will not be responsible for any copyright infringement.
- Participants must confirm that their submitted works do not violate any copyright issues or bear any responsibility arising therefrom.
- For any copyright issues, please visit www.legislation.gov.hk and refer to the Copyright Ordinance (Chapter 528) for details.
- The organizer reserves the right to exhibit and publish the conceptual and artistic works of the participants.
- Once a project is published, the copyright belongs to the organizer. The organizer reserves the right to modify, edit, publish, and reprint the work without further notice.
- Before using any entry for any commercial purposes, the organizer will reach a separate agreement with the copyright owner of the work.
- Regarding the screening and exhibition of works, the organizer reserves the final decision-making power.
- Unless participants object in writing, the organizer has the permanent right to keep one copy of each work for educational, preservation, and promotional purposes.
